Audi A4 S4 B8 8K Saloon Avant Rear Left Interior Door Handle 2008-2015 8K0839019

The handle is mounted behind the trim panel of the rear-left passenger door. Pulling the lever operates the door-latch release through the interior Bowden cable.

1. Confirm the vehicle is Audi B8 / Type 8K, not B7 / 8E or B9 / 8W.

2. Confirm the required position is rear-left: UK NSR / passenger-side rear.

3. Remove or inspect your original handle and match 8K0 839 019, including any suffix or colour code.

4. Compare every mounting tab, screw point, cable location, housing colour, lever finish and illumination feature with the actual item photos.

5. Check the rear child lock. A child lock left on can make a working interior handle appear faulty.

Required tools

General procedure

2. Carefully remove the decorative door trim and inner-pull cover using plastic tools.

3. Remove the T25 retaining screws, including the lower door-card screw where fitted.

4. Release the perimeter trim clips, lift the door card upward and support it without straining the wiring.

5. Disconnect the electrical plugs and unhook the interior Bowden cable from the old handle.

6. Release the old handle assembly, transfer any required trim or fittings and install the replacement in the same orientation.

7. Reconnect the cable and plugs. Test the handle, latch and child lock before fully refitting the panel.

8. Refit the door card from the top edge downward, replace damaged clips and tighten screws securely without overtightening plastic mountings.
