Chevrolet Captiva C100 2010 Bonnet Release Pull Handle Lever RHD 5 Door SUV
The donor marking visible on the supplied part confirms Chevrolet Captiva 2010. No readable vehicle-manufacturer part number is visible, so this listing does not claim automatic compatibility with every Captiva year, engine or steering configuration.
Before purchase, compare your existing handle, two-hole steel mounting bracket, cable slot, spring position and right-hand-drive layout with every item photo below. For a fitment check, send your VIN and a clear photo of the removed part through eBay Messages.
Used interior bonnet-opening handle assembly removed from a 2010 Chevrolet Captiva. The lever mounts low in the right-hand-drive driver’s footwell/lower dashboard area and pulls the bonnet-release cable to release the primary bonnet latch. The secondary safety catch at the front edge of the bonnet must still be released manually.
Supplied as pictured: black pull handle/pad, return mechanism and formed steel mounting bracket. Bonnet cable, dashboard trim and fixing screws are not included unless clearly shown in the item photographs.
These photographs show the actual style, bracket and cable-retaining arrangement buyers must match.

- Handle is cracked, loose, bent or missing.
- Excessive lever travel before the bonnet releases.
- Lever does not return smoothly after being pulled.
- Cable sheath or nipple repeatedly slips out of the handle bracket.
- Bonnet can only be opened by pulling the cable with pliers.
- Steel bracket is distorted or mounting points have become enlarged.
Important: the same symptoms can also be caused by a stretched/seized cable, dry or damaged bonnet latch, incorrect cable routing or bonnet alignment. Diagnose the full release system before ordering.
A correctly matched used vehicle-manufacturer component is designed around the original cable travel, bracket geometry, pivot position, trim clearance and mounting points. A poorly matched low-cost copy may have different cable movement, weaker plastic, incorrect spring tension or mounting holes that do not align.
Buying used can also offer substantial value — potentially saving up to 70% compared with buying new, depending on current dealer price and availability — while keeping a serviceable vehicle component in use rather than manufacturing another replacement.
- Park safely, switch off the ignition, remove the key and open/support the bonnet before starting.
- Remove the required lower dashboard or knee-bolster trim without forcing clips.
- Photograph the existing cable route, sheath position, spring and bracket orientation.
- Remove the handle/bracket retaining fasteners.
- Rotate the assembly as required and release the cable nipple and outer sheath from the bracket slot.
- Compare old and replacement parts side by side before installation.
- Install the cable, making sure the nipple and sheath are fully seated and the cable is not kinked.
- Secure the bracket and refit trim. Do not overtighten fasteners into plastic or thin sheet metal.
- Test lever return and latch release repeatedly while the bonnet remains open.
- Only close the bonnet after confirming the primary latch and secondary safety catch operate correctly.
Plastic trim tool, suitable screwdriver or socket/ratchet for the fasteners fitted to your vehicle, torch, needle-nose pliers, gloves and magnetic parts tray. Exact fastener size is not confirmed from the listing photographs.
Approximately 30–45 minutes for straightforward access. Allow longer where trim clips, cable routing or the bonnet latch require diagnosis or repair.

Please use the photographs, fitment chart and “will not fit” guidance before purchase. A model name alone is not enough because manufacturers can change brackets, cable ends and steering layouts within a production run.
Returns are handled through the eBay returns process and applicable consumer law. The item must be returned complete and in the condition received. Where eBay permits a deduction, it will be limited to a provable loss in value caused by handling, use, damage or missing components beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the item. This does not limit statutory rights or eBay Money Back Guarantee rights.
If unsure, contact us through eBay Messages with the full VIN, registration year, RHD/LHD confirmation and clear photographs of your existing handle and bracket before ordering.
