Engine size is not the main deciding factor for this trim component. The dashboard generation, physical side, finish, clips and part reference are the important checks. Petrol and diesel donor listings have been found with this reference, but buyers must still compare their own part.

Why replace it? A secure, correctly shaped vent restores proper trim fit, reduces rattles, allows the air stream to be directed and keeps the dashboard looking complete. A used factory-fit component normally gives better clip alignment, texture and colour matching than a low-cost pattern copy, provided the reference and finish match.
FITTING GUIDE
- Switch the ignition off, remove the key and protect the surrounding dashboard with masking tape or a soft cloth.
- Open the small storage drawer and inspect the assembly for visible Torx fixings. Access can vary with trim level.
- Remove the dashboard end trim or adjacent panel only where required to reach the retaining screws or clips.
- Use a plastic trim tool and release the assembly evenly. Do not lever hard against the soft dashboard surface.
- Withdraw the vent carefully, noting clip, foam seal and air-duct alignment. Do not disturb any nearby airbag wiring.
- Transfer reusable clips or seals if the replacement is not supplied with them.
- Align the air duct first, seat the assembly, refit all screws and press the trim clips home evenly.
- Test the vent slats, open/close control and storage drawer before finishing.
Required tools
Plastic trim-removal tools, Torx T20/T25 drivers, small pick or protected flat trim tool, masking tape, torch, gloves and a magnetic parts tray.

Approximately 20-45 minutes for an experienced fitter, commonly charged as about 0.5-0.75 labour hour. Time varies with trim condition, hidden fixings and previous repairs. This is a guide, not a fixed quotation.
