WHERE IS THIS PART FITTED & WHAT DOES IT CONTROL?
This assembly is mounted in the driver's footwell at the accelerator pedal position. Instead of relying on a traditional mechanical throttle cable, the integrated electronics provide the vehicle's engine-management system with an electrical signal representing the driver's accelerator demand.
Correct pedal geometry, connector configuration and sensor characteristics are therefore important. A part can look very similar externally but still be wrong for the vehicle.

IMPORTANT DAILY IV WARNING
The Daily IV entries above are SELECTED APPLICATIONS ONLY. Do not assume this pedal fits every 2006-2011 Daily IV.
THIS PART WILL NOT FIT
- Left-hand-drive vehicles.
- Vehicles using a different accelerator-pedal part number.
- Vehicles with a different connector shape or pin count.
- Daily variants/build months outside the table above.
- Every Daily IV simply because it was manufactured between 2006 and 2011.
- A vehicle whose existing pedal has different mounting geometry or pedal housing.
If your original pedal does not match IVECO 500344803 / BOSCH 0281002360, RHD and 6-pin oval connector, do not order solely because the vehicle is an IVECO Daily.
POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS OF A FAULTY ACCELERATOR PEDAL UNIT
- Intermittent or complete loss of accelerator response.
- Delayed or inconsistent throttle response.
- Engine entering reduced-power or limp-home operation.
- Engine-management / service warning illumination.
- Accelerator-position related diagnostic trouble codes.
- Vehicle responding differently as the pedal is moved through its travel.
These symptoms can also be caused by wiring, connector, ECU or other engine-management faults. Correct diagnosis should be carried out before replacing parts.
WHY MATCH AN ORIGINAL-PRODUCTION BOSCH / IVECO-MARKED COMPONENT?
An accelerator pedal is an electronic input component, not simply a plastic pedal. Correct connector geometry, mounting position, pedal travel and sensor behaviour are all important.
Matching the engineering number on the vehicle's original component greatly reduces the risk of receiving a visually similar but electrically or physically incompatible replacement.
Lower-cost unverified copies may differ in connector design, moulding, mounting geometry, electronics or long-term durability. A number-matched original-production component gives you the strongest basis for like-for-like replacement.
Pre-owned original-production vehicle parts can also represent a substantial saving compared with equivalent brand-new replacements. On selected components the saving can be as much as 70%, depending on current new-part pricing and availability.
TYPICAL TOOLS REQUIRED
- Metric socket and ratchet set - verify the actual fastener size on your vehicle before starting.
- Short extension where access requires it.
- Suitable trim-removal tool if lower dashboard trim obstructs access.
- Inspection light.
- Diagnostic scan tool recommended for checking accelerator-position faults/live data.
- Battery terminal tool if vehicle service information specifies battery isolation.
- Torque wrench where manufacturer tightening specifications are available.
GENERAL FITTING GUIDE
1 Park safely, switch the ignition off, remove the key and follow the correct battery-isolation procedure from vehicle service information where required.
2 Before removing anything, compare your existing pedal label, part number, housing, mounting points and 6-pin oval connector with the listing photographs.
3 Remove any lower trim required to safely access the pedal mounting area.
4 Release the electrical connector using its locking mechanism. Do not pull on the wiring.
5 Support the pedal and remove its mounting fasteners.
6 Install the replacement in the correct orientation without trapping or stretching the wiring loom.
7 Use the correct fasteners and tighten to the IVECO workshop specification for your exact chassis. We do not invent a universal torque figure because it can vary.
8 Reconnect the electrical plug, refit trim and restore the battery connection if it was isolated.
9 Check fault codes and accelerator-position live data. Pedal-position readings should change smoothly through the pedal travel.
10 Carry out a stationary functional check followed by a cautious road test. Perform any adaptation/calibration specified by the workshop data for the exact chassis.
Estimated straightforward replacement time: approximately 0.3-0.6 labour hours / around 20-40 minutes after diagnosis. Extra time may be required for trim removal, seized fasteners, electrical diagnosis, calibration or vehicle-specific access. This is a practical estimate rather than an IVECO flat-rate labour time.

No JavaScript is used. Calculate using: garage hourly rate x 0.3 to 0.6 hours.

SUPPORTING A LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS & REUSING GOOD VEHICLE PARTS
Buying a serviceable pre-owned component supports a local automotive-parts business while helping extend the useful life of parts that might otherwise become waste.
Reuse can reduce demand for replacement manufacturing, packaging and raw materials. Every correctly matched component that goes back into service is another useful part being kept in circulation rather than unnecessarily discarded.
