Where This Part Fits & What It Does

This panel does not control an electrical or mechanical system. Its purpose is to provide the shaped upper luggage-floor surface, cover the under-floor recess and help support normal luggage in the position intended by the vehicle manufacturer. Correct contour is important because the board must sit flat against the surrounding boot trim without rocking, fouling or leaving unsupported gaps.

Fitting Instructions

Estimated fitting time: approximately 5-15 minutes for a straightforward loose-lay boot-floor panel. This is a general estimate only; trim configuration and under-floor equipment vary by vehicle.

Tools normally required

Usually no specialist tools. Helpful items: protective gloves, torch, vacuum/brush and a non-marring plastic trim tool if surrounding trim needs gentle positioning.

1. Open the tailgate and remove all luggage, loose mats and items stored on the existing floor board.
2. Lift the existing boot floor using its pull tab/edge and remove it carefully without forcing the side trims.
3. Before fitting, place the old and replacement panels side by side. Compare the overall outline, every cut-out, edge angle, pull-tab position and underside moulding.
4. Inspect the spare-wheel or storage well for water, damp, loose tools or debris. Correct any leak or moisture issue before installing a replacement fibre-based board.
5. Lower the replacement into the luggage compartment carpet side up, keeping the pull tab accessible.
6. Check that the board sits flat, does not trap side trim, does not rock and can still be lifted to access the under-floor area.
7. Refit any loose mat/load-space items and test the floor with normal light hand pressure before loading luggage.
