✅ Four-point first-time fitment check
1. Match the front layout
Your existing panel must have the same headlamp-level wheel, the same instrument-light dimmer wheel and the same two blank positions.
2. Match the identifiers
Look for 8200407756 and/or 8200407757 on your original panel. A similar-looking panel with another number must not be assumed compatible.
3. Match the rear connection
Compare the plug socket, locating keys, clip positions, rear housing and overall panel shape with the actual photographs above.
4. Use the full VIN when uncertain
Send the full 17-character VIN and clear photographs of your old panel and connector through eBay Messages. Do not rely on the registration alone.
Part description
Used Renault Clio III / Clio Mk3 X85 lower-dashboard headlight-level adjuster and instrument-panel illumination dimmer switch assembly. This configuration is intended for compatible Renault Clio Mk3 three-door and five-door hatchbacks within model years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, only where the original number, switch arrangement and rear connector match.
The left rotary wheel shown in the photographs adjusts manual headlamp beam height to compensate for passenger or luggage loading. The second wheel controls the brightness of the dashboard and instrument illumination. The two remaining positions are blank covers on this specification.
This panel does not operate the main headlamp on/off function and does not add equipment that the vehicle did not originally have. Vehicle trim, lighting equipment and switch-panel specification are more important than engine size.

💷 Static garage labour estimator
Active calculators are not used in eBay descriptions. Use the table below or calculate: garage hourly rate × booked labour hours = estimated labour charge.
| Garage rate | 15 minutes / 0.25 hour | 30 minutes / 0.50 hour |
|---|---|---|
| £50 per hour | £12.50 | £25.00 |
| £70 per hour | £17.50 | £35.00 |
| £90 per hour | £22.50 | £45.00 |

Why choose a matching factory-fitted used component?
Correct physical configuration
A correctly matched factory-fitted panel is designed around the original dashboard aperture, locating clips, connector keying, symbol layout, wheel positions and cabin finish.
Avoid specification differences
Low-cost alternatives can differ in colour, tactile feel, icon quality, connector moulding or fit. Matching the original number and photographs reduces this risk.
Potential cost saving
Depending on the part and current new-part price, a serviceable used component can cost substantially less—sometimes around 70% less. Actual saving varies, so compare current prices.
Reuse before replacement
Reusing a serviceable component keeps an existing part in circulation and can reduce demand for new materials, manufacturing and packaging.
