CORRECT VEHICLE & FITTING LOCATION
The part fits at the centre-lower area of the rear window on the tailgate and attaches to the rear wiper motor spindle. The images below show a 2018 Fabia III 5-door hatchback and the rear wiper location. These are reference vehicle images, not the donor vehicle.

WHAT THIS PART DOES
The arm clamps onto the splined rear wiper spindle. When the motor turns, the arm carries the blade across the glass. Correct arm geometry keeps the blade at the intended sweep angle and pressure, helping maintain rear visibility in rain and road spray.
FAULT SYMPTOMS
Loose or cracked arm, excessive play at the spindle, poor contact with the glass, smearing, skipping, chatter, incorrect park position, blade lifting at speed, or a motor that can be heard operating while the arm does not sweep correctly.
DIAGNOSIS NOTE: A failed motor, seized spindle, damaged wiring, blown fuse, washer fault or damaged tailgate loom will not be repaired by replacing the arm alone. Check the complete rear wiper system before ordering.
WHY CHOOSE A FACTORY-FIT RECYCLED PART?
A factory-fit donor component is made around the vehicle’s original spindle, sweep angle and tailgate geometry. Compared with low-cost pattern copies, it can provide a better match for arm profile, blade pressure, mounting taper and parked position when the correct reference is selected.
Buying a quality recycled part can also cost substantially less than buying new while keeping a serviceable component in use. Actual savings vary by part and current retail pricing.
FITTING GUIDE
Required tools
13 mm socket or spanner, ratchet, small trim tool or flat screwdriver, masking tape/marker, cleaning cloth, protective gloves and a small wiper-arm puller if the old arm is seized.
Estimated time
20-40 minutes for a straightforward replacement. Allow longer where the arm is corroded onto the spindle or diagnosis is required.
- Park safely, switch the ignition off and confirm the rear wiper is in its normal parked position.
- Use masking tape to mark the existing blade position on the glass.
- Lift the spindle cap carefully and remove the retaining nut with the correct socket.
- Rock the old arm gently while pulling upward. Use a proper wiper-arm puller if seized. Do not lever against the glass.
- Clean the spindle splines and inspect the spindle, nut and surrounding glass/seal for damage.
- Fit the replacement arm at the same parked angle and refit the retaining nut.
- Tighten to the vehicle manufacturer’s workshop specification. Do not overtighten the spindle or load the rear glass.
- Refit the cap, wet the glass and test the sweep. Stop immediately if the blade contacts the bodywork or glass edge.
