| BODY GENERATION MATCH | Vauxhall Crossland X | 2017-2020 | P17, five-door | Right-rear door position. Match frame, cladding, trim, connector, glass, lock and visible equipment. |
| BODY GENERATION MATCH | Vauxhall Crossland | 2021-2024 | P17 facelift, five-door | The X suffix was dropped for the facelift. Match all door equipment and photographs before purchase. |
| CROSS-BADGE MATCH | Opel Crossland X | 2017-2020 | P17, five-door | Same vehicle family under Opel branding. Confirm trim, connector, glazing, lock and market specification. |
| CROSS-BADGE MATCH | Opel Crossland | 2021-2024 | P17 / P2QO facelift, five-door | Same first-generation body family. Equipment and finish matching remains mandatory. |
Engine coverage: the basic door position is body-related rather than petrol/diesel or manual/automatic dependent. This does not make every complete assembly electrically or cosmetically identical.
What this door will not fit
| Will not fit | Reason |
|---|---|
| Left / nearside rear door | Opposite side: hinge, latch, glass frame, trim and body contour are handed. |
| Either front door or the tailgate | Different dimensions, apertures, hinges, latch systems and equipment. |
| Vauxhall Mokka / Mokka X | Different vehicle and body-shell geometry. |
| Vauxhall Grandland / Grandland X | Different size, platform application and door shape. |
| Vauxhall Frontera | Different Crossland-successor body; this P17 door is not interchangeable. |
| Citroen C3 Aircross or Peugeot 2008 | Related mechanical architecture does not make exterior body doors interchangeable. |
| Any three-door vehicle | The Crossland application is a five-door body and this is a short rear passenger door. |
| A Crossland with incompatible equipment | Reject the match if the connector, loom, lock, child-lock system, trim, speaker, glass/tint, handle, cladding, seals, hinges, check strap or mounting points differ. |
| Guaranteed paint match without code comparison | Grey appearance alone is not a paint-code match. Expect body-shop colour assessment and possible refinishing. |

Where the part is fitted & what it controls
RIGHT REAR DOOR
rear passenger access and closure; window/glass support; latch, central-locking and child-lock functions where fitted; weather sealing; speaker/door wiring where equipped; exterior appearance and side-impact door structure. Exact concealed content is determined by the photographed assembly and vehicle specification.
Symptoms that may lead to replacement
A replacement door should follow inspection. Some symptoms can be caused by hinges, striker adjustment, the body aperture, wiring or a removable mechanism rather than the shell itself.
- Collision damage, deep dents, creasing, corrosion or distortion that cannot be repaired economically.
- Poor panel gaps, sagging, rubbing, difficult closing or a latch that will not align after hinge/striker checks.
- Water entry or wind noise caused by a distorted frame, damaged flange or sealing surface.
- Broken window mechanism, damaged glass channel or regulator mounting area.
- Central-locking, child-lock, handle or latch faults where diagnosis confirms the door-contained component or loom is responsible.
- Damaged inner trim, exterior handle, cladding, weather seals or wiring after impact or attempted entry.
Professional fitting instructions
Required tools and materials
Recommended fitting sequence
- Verify before dismantling. Compare the sale photographs, side, body profile, connector, trim, glass/tint, handle, cladding and every required feature with the vehicle.
- Inspect the vehicle structure. Check hinges, striker, B-pillar, C-pillar, sill and aperture for collision movement, corrosion or distortion. A straight replacement door will not correct a damaged aperture.
- Prepare safely. Park level, protect adjacent panels, raise or secure the window as appropriate, switch the ignition off, allow modules to power down and disconnect the 12-volt battery following the vehicle workshop procedure.
- Support the existing door. Use a padded stand and a second person. Mark hinge positions where useful before loosening fasteners.
- Disconnect systems carefully. Release the body wiring connector and rubber boot without pulling the wires. Disconnect the check strap and any separate earth or retention fittings.
- Remove the door. Keep the panel fully supported while removing hinge fasteners. Move it away without striking the rear quarter, sill or front door.
- Transfer specification-dependent parts. Move any required lock, loom, speaker, glass, regulator, seals, trim, handle or clips only after comparing both assemblies. Replace damaged single-use clips and seals.
- Install loosely. Position the replacement on the hinges, refit the check strap and reconnect the harness. Start fasteners by hand and do not fully tighten until alignment is established.
- Align precisely. Set even gaps, flushness and latch engagement without lifting or forcing the door. Tighten fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer's current workshop specification; no unverified torque figures are supplied here.
- Reconnect and test. Reconnect the battery according to workshop instructions, initialise the window where required, scan for faults and test exterior/inner handles, central locking, child lock, window, speaker, courtesy functions and seals.
- Water and road check. Carry out a controlled leak test, listen for wind noise and verify the door remains secure and flush through repeated opening and closing.
- Refinish professionally. Correct chips/marks, prepare the surface and blend colour as required. Paint and curing time are separate from mechanical fitting time.
