What This Part Does
This handle is fitted to the outside of the nearside rear passenger door. It gives exterior access to the rear door and works with the door latch linkage/cable so the door opens correctly from the outside.

Basic Fitting Steps
- Confirm the replacement part matches your removed part number, side and mounting points before dismantling.
- Protect the paintwork around the rear door handle with masking tape.
- Remove the inner rear door trim carefully using trim tools and release any electrical connectors if present.
- Peel back the moisture membrane only as far as required. Do not tear it; reseal it properly on refit.
- Access the exterior handle fixings through the door edge and inner door aperture. Loosen the relevant Torx fasteners.
- Disconnect the handle cable/rod/linkage carefully and note its routing before removal.
- Remove the old exterior handle/base and compare it side by side with the replacement.
- Install the replacement handle, reconnect the linkage/cable and tighten fixings evenly.
- Test the door opens and closes from outside and inside before refitting the door card.
- Refit the moisture membrane, connectors and door trim, then test central locking and rear door operation again.
