The assembly mounts low in the LEFT side of the front bumper/fascia. Its purpose is to house and correctly position the auxiliary front fog-light beam, helping illuminate the road surface in appropriate poor-visibility conditions.

This component is a lamp assembly — it does not itself control when the light switches on. Switching and electrical supply are handled by the vehicle's lighting controls and electrical system.

The following is a general workshop guide, not a substitute for the correct Chevrolet service procedure. Fastener type and access can vary with bumper specification and previous repairs.

1. Park safely, switch the ignition and exterior lighting off and remove the key.
2. Turn the steering as required for access to the left-front wheel-arch area.
3. If lifting is necessary, use the correct lifting point and properly rated axle stands. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack.
4. Remove or loosen the relevant lower splash shield / wheel-arch liner fasteners to gain rear access to the fog lamp.
5. Disconnect the lamp electrical connection or bulb holder as applicable.
6. Remove the lamp mounting screws / bracket fasteners.
7. Withdraw the old lamp assembly carefully without damaging the bumper aperture or wiring.
8. Before installation, place the replacement beside the old unit and compare all brackets, mounting holes, connector positions and adjuster layout.
9. Install the replacement without forcing any mounting tab into position.
10. Reconnect the electrical components and test operation before completely refitting the liner or lower trim.
11. Refit all original fasteners and confirm the lamp is secure.
12. Check lamp alignment/aim and correct operation before road use.
