WHAT THIS PART DOES

This interior handle is the mechanical release lever used by the rear passenger to open the right rear door from inside. Pulling the lever moves the door-release cable and operates the latch. It does not control central locking, the window motor or other electrical functions.

Before replacing: check that the rear-door child lock is not engaged. If the handle moves normally but the latch does not release, the fault may be the cable, cable retainer or door-latch mechanism rather than the handle itself.

1. Park safely, switch off the ignition and protect the door trim. Lower the window if possible.

3. Remove the Torx fasteners around the pull handle, door card and edge of the trim.

4. Release the door-card clips with a plastic lever, then lift the trim panel upward without pulling on the wiring.

5. Unhook the interior release cable from the old handle and note its routing.

6. Release the old handle assembly from its tabs/fasteners. Compare both parts side by side before installation.

7. Fit the replacement handle, reconnect the cable and test the latch with the door open before refitting the door card.

8. Reconnect plugs, align the top edge, press all clips home, refit screws and perform a final child-lock and opening test.
