Citroën Dispatch II / Jumpy II RHR / DW10BTED4 2.0 HDi 136 2007-2016 generation PRIMARY APPLICATION
IMPORTANT: Production dates, engine code, installed housing, connectors, hose outlets and part number should all agree. Registration/model year alone is not sufficient for safety-critical fitment verification.

🔎 PART NUMBER & CROSS-REFERENCE

The existing eBay listing does not specify a manufacturer part number. Therefore we will not represent an unverified number as being stamped on this particular component.

REFERENCE FAMILY REQUIRING PHYSICAL/VIN VERIFICATION:
1336 Y9 / 1336Y9 / 9656182980 and associated catalogue supersessions/cross-references are found on related PSA 2.0 diesel thermostat-housing applications. Do not assume these numbers apply to this exact item without verification.

✕ DO NOT ASSUME IT FITS

This listing should NOT be selected simply because your vehicle says "2.0 HDi".

Application Advice
RHK / DW10UTED4 120 Do not assume compatibility — verify VIN/part number.
RHH / DW10CTED4 163/165 Do not assume compatibility — verify VIN/part number.
AHZ / other 2.0 HDi versions Do not assume compatibility — verify VIN/part number.
Dispatch III / later generation Not covered by this compatibility claim.

🌡️ WHAT DOES THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING DO?

The thermostat housing forms part of the engine cooling circuit. It provides the mounting and coolant passages associated with thermostat operation and routes coolant between the engine and connected cooling-system hoses.

Correct coolant-temperature regulation is important because a diesel engine is designed to operate within a controlled temperature range. A defective housing, thermostat, seal or associated connection can cause coolant loss or incorrect temperature regulation.

Possible symptoms of a cooling-system/thermostat housing fault

✓ Visible coolant leakage around the housing
✓ Coolant smell in the engine compartment
✓ Repeated loss of coolant
✓ Engine taking unusually long to reach operating temperature
✓ Temperature reading behaving abnormally
✓ Engine running hotter than expected
✓ Cooling-system warning messages
✓ Evidence of cracking or deterioration around coolant connections

These symptoms are diagnostic indicators only. Other cooling-system faults can produce similar symptoms. Proper diagnosis is recommended before replacing components.

WHY BUY AN ORIGINAL USED COMPONENT?

Original vehicle specification Manufactured for the vehicle manufacturer's original production application.
Correct geometry Original hose connections, mounting points and packaging can reduce uncertainty compared with poorly matched copies.
Excellent value Used vehicle components can offer substantial savings compared with buying equivalent components new.
Lower environmental impact Reusing serviceable components extends their working life and reduces unnecessary waste.

🔧 FITTING INFORMATION

Professional installation is recommended. The cooling system may be pressurised and coolant can cause serious burns when hot. Never open a hot cooling system.

Typical tools required

Socket and ratchet set • extensions • suitable screwdrivers • hose-clip pliers • coolant drain container • torque wrench • workshop gloves • suitable coolant • cleaning materials • vehicle-specific workshop information

Typical procedure

  1. Allow the engine and cooling system to become completely cold.
  2. Confirm the replacement component matches the installed unit before dismantling.
  3. Safely drain sufficient coolant into a suitable container.
  4. Remove components obstructing access where required.
  5. Disconnect relevant electrical connector(s), where fitted.
  6. Release coolant hoses carefully.
  7. Remove the thermostat housing fasteners.
  8. Remove the housing and clean the sealing/mating surface appropriately.
  9. Install the replacement component using suitable seals where required.
  10. Tighten fasteners to the correct manufacturer specification.
  11. Reconnect hoses and electrical connections.
  12. Refill using coolant meeting the correct vehicle specification.
  13. Bleed the cooling system according to the vehicle procedure.
  14. Bring the engine to operating temperature and check carefully for leaks.
  15. Recheck coolant level after cooling.

Important: The above is a general overview, not a substitute for the manufacturer workshop procedure. Torque values and coolant specifications should be obtained for the exact VIN/engine configuration.
