Where It Is Fitted and What It Controls
This handle is mounted to the inside of the vehicle's left-hand front or rear door trim. When the lever is pulled, it moves the associated rod or cable linkage and releases the mechanical door latch, allowing the door to be opened from inside the cabin.
The handle itself is mechanical. It does not operate the electric window, central-locking motor or exterior handle, although those components may have to be disconnected or moved temporarily while the door trim is removed.
