Installation sequence
- Switch off the ignition, remove the key and allow vehicle electronics to shut down. Battery isolation is recommended when working on vehicle electrical connections.
- Open the rear hatch and protect painted edges and surrounding trim.
- Carefully release and remove the lower rear-lid trim using plastic tools. Do not force hidden clips.
- Locate the aerial amplifier, photograph the original routing, then disconnect the two plug/coax connections by their housings—not by pulling the cables.
- Remove the retaining screws or fixings and lift out the original module.
- Compare both modules again, fit the replacement, tighten fixings securely without overtightening, and reconnect each plug fully.
- Reconnect the battery if isolated, test AM/FM reception and scan for stations before refitting the trim.
- Refit trim clips evenly and confirm the hatch closes correctly without trapped wiring.
