Recommended tools
Plastic trim-removal tools, Phillips screwdriver, 10 mm spanner or socket for the battery terminal, small torch, and a magnetic parts tray. A diagnostic scanner may be needed if an SRS fault remains stored.
Estimated labour time
Approx. 0.4-0.8 hour for an experienced technician, depending on dashboard specification, clip condition and access. This is a practical estimate, not an official manufacturer labour time.
General installation sequence
- Save radio settings where required, switch the ignition off and remove the key.

Disconnect the negative 12V battery terminal and wait at least 10 minutes before working around passenger-airbag indicator wiring.
- Protect the dashboard surfaces with a clean cloth. Use plastic tools to release the centre trim / air-vent or radio-surround assembly without twisting it.
- Locate the narrow hazard / passenger-airbag switch panel. Release its screws or retaining clips, noting the original routing of the ribbon cable.
- Unlock and unplug the white connector and ribbon connection carefully. Never pull directly on the wires or ribbon.
- Compare the removed unit with this listing: wording, dimensions, connector keying, ribbon orientation and every mounting tab must match.
- Install the replacement without trapping the ribbon cable, refit the trim evenly, reconnect the battery and test hazards and indicator illumination.
- Where the SRS lamp remains on, stop and diagnose the system rather than repeatedly disconnecting components.
