FITTING GUIDE
Safety: Security-system work should be completed by a competent technician. Follow the manufacturer workshop information for your exact vehicle. Keep keys outside the vehicle, protect trim and observe 12-volt battery disconnection procedures.
1. Switch off the ignition, remove the key and allow vehicle systems to shut down.
2. Record any necessary settings and disconnect the negative 12-volt battery terminal where the workshop procedure requires it. Wait the specified time before working near trim containing restraint-system components.
3. Remove the luggage floor, relevant side covers and rear quarter trim using plastic trim tools. Do not force clips.
4. Locate the existing siren behind the luggage-compartment side trim and compare its label, connector and bracket before removal.
5. Release the electrical connector lock without pulling on the wiring.
6. Remove the bracket fastener(s), support the assembly and transfer any vehicle-specific clips or isolators only where required.
7. Install the replacement in the same orientation, secure the bracket and reconnect the plug until the lock engages.
8. Refit trim and clips, reconnect the battery in accordance with the workshop procedure and restore settings.
9. Clear relevant diagnostic faults where necessary and function-test the alarm safely. Some vehicles may require diagnostic configuration or fault-code clearing after replacement.
