This component fits inside the front-left door window area, at the forward edge of the moving door glass near the vehicle's A-pillar. Its job is to guide, locate and stabilise the glass as the window travels up and down.
It does not electrically operate the window. The regulator and motor provide the movement; this guide helps keep the glass correctly aligned while that movement takes place.
