DOES NOT FIT - AVOID A WRONG ORDER
  • Toyota Corolla E14/E15 saloon 2008-2014 - this is not the catalogue application for 81570-0F011.
  • Earlier Corolla Verso E120 generation before the R1/AR10 family - not covered by this part-number application.
  • Later Toyota Verso generation from 2009 onward - not covered by this R1/AR10 part-number application.
  • Any vehicle where the original lamp has a different mounting arrangement, connector or part number unless a VIN-based Toyota catalogue check confirms a supersession.
EARLY 2004 BUILD NOTE
For catalogue build period 02/2004-07/2004, Toyota catalogue data shows 81570-0F010 and lists 81570-0F011 as its superseding number. From 08/2004 onward, 81570-0F011 is shown directly. If your vehicle sits on this boundary, send the VIN through eBay Messages before buying.

Where It Fits & What It Does

This assembly is the high-level third brake light / centre stop lamp positioned at the upper rear of the Corolla Verso R1/AR10 tailgate area. It illuminates when the service-brake stop-lamp circuit is activated, giving following traffic an additional high-mounted red brake signal.

It does not control the braking system. It is a lighting output component. If the lamp is not working, the root cause can be the lamp/bulbs or elsewhere in the stop-lamp electrical circuit, so diagnosis before replacement is recommended.

Common Symptoms & Checks
  • High-level brake lamp does not illuminate when the brake pedal is pressed.
  • Only part of the lamp appears illuminated because one or more 12V 5W bulbs has failed.
  • Intermittent operation caused by a bulb holder, connector, wiring or earth fault.
  • Moisture or condensation around the lamp area if the housing or sealing strip is damaged or not seated correctly.
  • Cracked, damaged or insecure lamp housing/mounting.
  • An MOT issue can result where a fitted stop lamp does not meet the applicable inspection requirements; all fitted stop lamps are inspected under the current DVSA MOT manual.
Why Choose an Original Factory Toyota Used Part?
  • Correct factory geometry: mounting points, housing shape, seal interface and electrical connection were designed for the vehicle family.
  • Known reference number: 81570-0F011 can be checked against the number on the vehicle and against Toyota catalogue data.
  • Better return prevention: matching a visible factory number and VIN is more reliable than buying from a vague vehicle description alone.
  • Used value: selected used parts can save up to 70% versus new-part pricing; actual savings vary by part and current market price.
  • Reuse matters: extending the service life of an existing component can reduce demand for replacement manufacturing and keep usable automotive material in circulation.
Fitting Guide
Planning guide only: trim and fastener details can vary by build/trim. Use the correct workshop information for your VIN if you are unsure.
  1. Confirm the fault before removing parts. Check brake-light operation and inspect the relevant fuse/circuit, connector and bulbs where appropriate.
  2. Open the tailgate and protect surrounding trim and painted surfaces.
  3. Carefully remove the upper inner tailgate trim required to access the centre-stop-lamp connection and retaining hardware. Use a plastic trim tool to reduce marking.
  4. Disconnect the lamp electrical connector without pulling on the wiring.
  5. Remove the retaining nut/fastener shown by the Toyota parts catalogue and release the lamp carefully from the tailgate area.
  6. Compare the removed unit directly with the replacement: part number, connector, mounting ears/studs, lens profile and sealing strip.
  7. Inspect the replacement seal and bulb holders. The catalogue specifies five 12V 5W bulb positions for this lamp family.
  8. Fit the replacement without over-tightening the plastic housing or mounting points. Ensure the seal sits evenly to reduce water ingress.
  9. Reconnect the electrical connector and test all stop lamps before refitting trim.
  10. Refit the trim, then perform a final brake-light and moisture/seal check.
Suggested Tools
Plastic trim removal tools; small ratchet and suitable socket set; suitable screwdrivers for fitted trim; torch; work gloves; and a multimeter or 12V test lamp if electrical diagnosis is required. The exact socket/fastener size should be checked on the vehicle rather than guessed.
Estimated Repair Time & Labour Cost Guide
Planning estimate: approximately 0.5-1.0 labour hour for a competent technician, depending on trim access, seized/damaged fasteners, previous repairs and electrical diagnosis. This is an estimate, not a Toyota flat-rate time.

VAT & Returns

VAT margin / Global Accounting: where this item is sold under the Global Accounting VAT margin scheme, VAT is accounted for under the scheme and is not shown separately on the sales invoice. There is no separately stated VAT amount for the buyer to reclaim.

Returns: returns are handled through eBay and the return policy shown on the listing. A refund deduction of up to 50% is not an automatic restocking fee; it may only be used where eBay policy allows and to recover an actual loss in value when an item is returned in a materially different condition. This does not remove a buyer's statutory or eBay rights where applicable.

Buy The Correct Part First Time
Our recommended fitment check:
  1. Match the number on your original lamp to 81570-0F011.
  2. If your early 2004 lamp reads 81570-0F010, do not rely on the number alone; confirm the VIN because the catalogue shows 81570-0F011 as the superseding number for the early application.
  3. Confirm your vehicle is the Corolla Verso / Verso R1 AR10-family 5-door MPV, not a Corolla saloon/hatchback and not the later 2009-on Verso generation.
  4. If anything is uncertain, send the full VIN via eBay Messages before ordering so it can be decoded and checked against catalogue data.

Choosing a serviceable used component helps keep usable parts in circulation, reduces unnecessary waste and can deliver excellent value compared with replacing everything with new stock. Every correct-fit used part that goes back into service is one less usable component discarded early.
