The assembly mounts inside the vehicle at the upper centre of the front windscreen, directly below the headlining and close to any upper windscreen trim or sensor housing.

The electrochromic mirror uses light sensors and the vehicle's electrical supply to reduce bright headlamp glare reflected from behind. It returns towards a clearer state as glare decreases.

1. Park safely, switch the ignition off and protect the dashboard and windscreen area.
2. Follow the vehicle workshop procedure for isolating the 12-volt electrical system where required.
3. Carefully release the upper mirror trim or sensor shroud with a plastic trim tool.
4. Disconnect the mirror plug by releasing its locking tab; do not pull directly on the wires.
5. Identify the retaining screw, clip or slide lock used by the windscreen mounting foot.
6. Support the mirror and release it from the windscreen button without levering against the glass.
7. Compare both assemblies side by side, including the number, plug, sensors, mount and cable route.
8. Install the replacement, secure it correctly, reconnect the plug and refit the trim.
9. Restore the electrical supply and test the AUTO control, dimming response and mounting stability.
