- Plastic Trim Removal Tool (to safely remove the inner door card).
GENERAL FITTING GUIDE
| 1 | Safely remove the rear left interior door card using your trim removal tool to access the inner door cavity. |
| 2 | Carefully peel back the foam moisture barrier/vapor shield just enough to reach the check strap. |
| 3 | Unbolt the single Torx bolt connecting the strap arm to the vehicle's B-pillar chassis. |
| 4 | Unbolt the two 10mm nuts holding the strap unit to the door itself, and extract the old unit through the door cavity. |
| 5 | Insert the replacement, bolt it securely to the door, extend the arm to the chassis pillar, secure the Torx bolt, and reseal the door barrier and card. |
