This handle is fitted externally on the front passenger door of the Volvo V50. On UK right-hand-drive vehicles this is usually called NSF, nearside front, front left or passenger side.
Function
It allows the front passenger door to be opened from outside the vehicle. The handle operates the door latch mechanism through the internal linkage/cable. If the handle, carrier or spring fails, the door may no longer open correctly from the outside.
