- Remove the regulator fixings, release the manual crank drive / cable drum clips and guide the rail assembly through the door aperture.
- Compare the removed and replacement parts side by side. Confirm rail length, carrier, cable route, crank housing and every fixing point.
- Install the replacement assembly, ensure the cable drum latches fully and tighten the guide fixings evenly. Where the original arrangement matches, guide-rail nuts are typically tightened to 8 Nm; use repair data for the specific VIN.
- Refit and align the glass, operate the crank through its full travel and check for smooth movement, correct sealing and no cable noise.
- Reseal the moisture barrier, refit the trim panel and complete a final opening, closing and security check.
