What the part controls
The 12V actuator moves the linkage that opens and closes the left rear pop-out quarter glass. When operating correctly, it draws the glass into the seal for secure closure and controlled cabin ventilation. A failed motor, worn internal gear, damaged linkage or poor electrical supply can leave the glass open, closed or only partly latched.
Common symptoms of a fault

Fitting guide

- Before dismantling, match the old unit to 7M0847079 / 95VW14453AA and verify the vehicle VIN.
- Switch the ignition off, remove the key and follow the vehicle-specific battery-disconnection procedure. Preserve security codes and settings where applicable.
- Move or remove rear seating and load-area trim only as required for safe access.
