This handle is fitted on the inside face of the left door, within the interior door trim/card. Verified applications exist for the left front and left rear doors on the vehicles shown in the compatibility chart.
Its job is to provide the passenger/driver with the mechanical interior release input for the door latch. When the lever is pulled, the handle's mechanism acts through the vehicle's latch cable/linkage so the door latch can release.
A door that will not open from inside is not automatically caused by the handle. The latch, release cable/linkage, child-lock setting, damaged clips or door/latch alignment may produce similar symptoms. Check the failed component before ordering.
